about me

My infatuation with photography began with my first backpacking trip to Tasmania when I was a teenager growing up in Australia. I fell in love with the process of slowing down to frame and focus on anything that captivated me, and it seemed magical to me that these tangible photographs somehow added an intangible reverence to that trip. That adventure led me into the adventure of studying and practicing the art of photography, which I know I'll continue for the rest of my life.

Since earning a BA in photo-journalism, I worked as a freelance photojournalist and interiors photographer before becoming a wedding and portrait photographer. I love that I get to continue to travel and document stories with each and every wedding I get to photograph. I love everything from styling the invitation suites to connecting with each couple and sharing their most intimate and profoundly moving memories.

After over a decade of photographing weddings, interiors, lifestyle sessions and styled shoots and having them published in some of the industry’s leading magazines and blogs, I felt ready to start sharing my process with others. I hosted my first workshop in 2017 and I enjoyed the experience so much that I immediately wanted to start planning the next one, and that’s how Handling IT was born!
